Green and sustainable development serves as a key driver
for corporate innovation. Since its inception, Yuhu Cold
Chain established a PMO working group responsible for
implementing carbon reduction goals. Simultaneously, we
have made significant investments in new energy solutions,
promoting the replacement of traditional energy sources
with green electricity. This includes the integration of
new energy refrigerated vehicles, smart charging stations,
and solar power systems, achieving cost reduction,
efficiency improvement, and energy conservation. Through
increasing the proportion of green electricity usage, we
are progressing toward net-zero carbon emissions.
To date, Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou) Trading Centre has completed 35,000㎡ of rooftop PV installation, reducing nearly 3,000 tonnes of CO₂equivalent emissions per year on average. The Chengdu Trading Centre is set to complete 70,000㎡ of PV installation, Wuhan Trading Centre 44,000㎡, and the Meishan Trading Centre 70,000㎡. Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou) Trading Centre successfully obtained the Three ISO System Certifications, including ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental Management System, and ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and has been designated as a pilot unit for the national standard “GB/T 28843-2024 Management requirement for traceability in food cold chain logistics.” The Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Wuhan centres have also obtained pilot certification under the group standard “Evaluate indicators for low carbon of cold store.”
Yuhu Cold Chain has now established a large-scale “green warehouse cluster.” All nine of its parks have been awarded the “First-Grade (Three-Star) Green Warehouse”.
