On March 8, Li Zhongjun, Mayor of Nanjing who took office in January this year, led a delegation to visit the headquarters of Yuhu Group Hong Kong, where he held in-depth discussions with Huang Xiangmo, Chairman of the Board of Yuhu Group. The two sides had thorough exchanges on topics including the construction progress of the Yuhu Cold Chain (Nanjing) Trading Center project and the deepening of industrial cooperation. On March 9, Nanjing held the Nanjing High-Quality Development Economic and Trade Cooperation (Hong Kong) Exchange Conference in Hong Kong, and Guo Limin, President of Yuhu Group, was invited to attend the event.
Li Zhongjun, Mayor of Nanjing City
Huang Xiangmo extended a warm welcome to Mayor Li and his delegation, and expressed gratitude to the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee and Nanjing Municipal People's Government for the strong support they have long provided to the project. He highlighted the breakthrough progress made over the past five years under Yuhu Cold Chain's Greater China strategy, and noted that with 25 years of development, Yuhu Group has established a framework for the coordinated development of three core strategic business segments: cold chain assets and smart technology, fishery and agriculture investment, operation and supply chain management, as well as commercial complex development and operation. To date, Yuhu Cold Chain has established a network of 9 trading centers across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Southwest China, Central China, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. Four more trading centers will be put into operation this year, ushering in a new phase of interconnection among eight trading centers. He specifically pointed out that since the signing of the Yuhu Cold Chain (Nanjing) Trading Center project agreement in February last year, the project has advanced rapidly thanks to the efficient services and support from government departments at all levels in Nanjing. Following the timeline of "land listing in June, land acquisition in July, and construction commencement in October", the project completed the key milestones of "agreement signing, land securing, and construction start all within the same year" in just 8 months, setting a "Nanjing Speed" for project delivery. The main structure of the project will be topped out within this year, and it is scheduled to officially open for operation by the end of 2027.
Huang Xiangmo stated that Yuhu Cold Chain will steadily advance the project construction and operational preparation. Leveraging its innovative Online-Merge-Offline (OMO) business model that integrates online trading and offline delivery, the company will build a full-chain service system encompassing domestic and international procurement agency services, intelligent warehousing, trunk logistics and distribution, and supply chain finance empowerment. Through digital and intelligent operations and a full-process temperature-controlled and traceable transaction fulfillment platform, Yuhu will enhance cold chain food safety, narrow the gap between China's cold chain industry and that of developed countries, and build the Nanjing project into an international food ingredient trading service platform and cold chain food distribution hub rooted in the Yangtze River Delta and serving the whole country. This will drive the agglomeration of upstream and downstream enterprises, and contribute Yuhu's strengths to the high-quality development of Nanjing's cold chain industry.
Huang Xiangmo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Yuhu Group
Li Zhongjun spoke highly of the rapid progress of the Yuhu Cold Chain Nanjing project. He noted that Nanjing is accelerating the development of a national-level logistics hub and an international consumption center city, making every effort to boost the capacity of its shipping hub and increase the density of its international route network. These efforts will provide strong support for the Yuhu Cold Chain Nanjing project in sourcing international goods and allocating domestic goods, and effectively improve supply chain collaboration efficiency. Li further updated on the latest progress in the development of sci-tech innovation and finance in Nanjing: in February this year, Nanjing successfully held the 2026 Purple Mountain Venture Capital Conference, where the total scale of funds inaugurated, announced and signed on-site exceeded 70 billion yuan. Among them, the Jiangsu Provincial Special Fund for Innovative Development of Modern Service Industry, with a scale of 10 billion yuan, was officially inaugurated. The fund will focus its investment on innovative sectors featuring the in-depth integration of modern service industry and advanced manufacturing, as well as modern logistics fields including integrated supply chain management, which is highly aligned with the supply chain finance business of Yuhu Cold Chain.
Li Zhongjun particularly emphasized that as a highly popular tourist city receiving over 200 million visitor trips annually, Nanjing boasts a huge consumer market and robust demand for high-quality dining experiences. He expressed the hope that the planning of the Yuhu Cold Chain Nanjing Trading Centre can incorporate consumption scenarios such as global food ingredient experience restaurants, enabling premium ingredients from around the world to reach Nanjing quickly via air, water and land transportation. While enriching the dining options of Nanjing residents, this will further unlock the potential of the city's food experience sector. He expected that in the future, relying on the Nanjing project, Yuhu Cold Chain will strengthen cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises to build a cold chain industry ecosystem, and jointly promote Nanjing's economic development. Li stated that Nanjing will continue to uphold and enhance its "Ning Satisfaction" government service brand, and provide comprehensive and tailored services for the Yuhu Cold Chain Nanjing project in areas including incentive and subsidy policy application, project supporting facilities guarantee, surrounding traffic management, municipal facilities connection, and the expansion of intelligent logistics application scenarios for drones and unmanned vehicles, to fully support the high-standard construction and high-quality operation of the project.
During the meeting, Li Zhongjun also sincerely invited Yuhu Group to attend the China Logistics Conference to be held in Nanjing on April 16. He expressed the expectation that Yuhu Cold Chain will have in-depth exchanges with leading domestic logistics enterprises such as JD.com and SF Express, to jointly support Nanjing in building a regional shipping and logistics center and a national-level logistics hub city.
The meeting was attended by Hong Lilai, Secretary-General of Nanjing Municipal People's Government; Liu Yonghui, Director of Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce; Zhao Chengjun, Director of Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology; Wang Dongning, Director of Nanjing Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau; Lyu Jing, Director of Nanjing Municipal Foreign Affairs Office; Guo Limin, President of Yuhu Group Hong Kong; Huang Zhenghong, Executive Director of Yuhu Group; as well as Li Junyan and Wei Jia, senior executives of Yuhu Cold Chain.
